Organizer - Serbian Young Endocrinologists (SENSE)
In April of this year, the Fourth Regional Symposium of Young Endocrinologists – 4RSME was held in Belgrade. The symposium was a great success gathering a record 196 young experts from across the region and Europe while achieving all its goals such as networking young people in the region, improving their clinical and research skills and encouraging dialogue on the latest developments in endocrinology. We are especially proud that 4RSME was organized by young experts from all over Serbia with the support of the Endocrinology Section of the Serbian Medical Association (SLD), the European Association of Endocrinology (ESE), the Section of Specialists of the SLD, and the national endocrinologists’ associations of Montenegro, Slovenia and Croatia.
For 11 years, Serbia has been successfully represented by young endocrinologists in the European Association of Endocrinology (ESE), as leaders of young endocrinologists in Europe (EYES), members of the ESE Clinical Committee, the ESE Rare Diseases Committee, the ESE expert panel for adrenal and cardiovascular endocrinology, and ESE Rising Stars of the European Journal of Endocrinology (EJE).
Motivated by the success of 4RSME, and in the desire for our young endocrinologists to further develop and improve the field of endocrinology, on March 21, 2025, the 1st Annual Meeting of Serbian Early Career Endocrinologists and Scientists – SENSE will be held in front of the Association for Adrenal Diseases glands and cardiometabolic endocrinology of Serbia ADVANCE and the Serbian Association for Gender Endocrinology MUMIA.
The meeting is supported by the European Association for Endocrinology – ESE and the Endocrinology Section of the Serbian Medical Society.
