How to arrive and get by
Jugoslovenska kinoteka is located in the heart of Belgrade and is well-connected to different parts of the city, as well as being within proximity to major tourist attractions and prominent city spots. Belgrade has a well-developed public transport network. You can reach Jugoslovenska Kinoteka through various means of transport, depending on your starting location.
Airport
Belgrade International Airport “Nikola Tesla” is located 18km from the city centre. There are a few travel options when commuting between the airport and the city centre. Minibus A1 runs every 20 minutes from the airport terminal to Slavija Square Terminus. Tickets can be purchased from the bus drivers. A public bus (line number 72) runs every 30 minutes, from the airport terminal to the terminus “Zeleni venac”. Public transportation tickets can be purchased via text message service (SMS). Central bus station
Belgrade has an excellent network of long-distance buses, connecting it to all parts of Europe. The Central Bus Station is located 1.6km from the city centre. Jugoslovenska kinoteka is easy to reach either by taking tram lines (line numbers 7 and 11) or by taking a bus (EKO2).
Central train station
Central train station is located 2.9km from the conference venue, which can be reached by taking a trolley bus (line 41).
Slavija square
One of the most prominent city spots orientation-wise, Slavija Square is located 2.3km from Jugoslovenska kinoteka. If you opt for public transportation, a bus (line 31 and EKO2) or trolley bus (line number 29) will take you to Jugoslovenska kinoteka.
Republic Square
Republic Square is located 600m away from the conference venue and can easily be reached by a 10-minute walk.
Kalemegdan
Kalemegdan is located 800m away from the conference venue and can be reached by a 10-minute walk.
Belgrade waterfront
One of the recent and most prominent spots in the City, the Belgrade waterfront is located 2.9km from Jugoslovenska kinoteka. From this location, you can reach the conference venue either by taking a bus (EKO2), a tram (line number 11), or a trolleybus (line number 41).
Private car
Belgrade lies at the intersection of E-70 and E-75 motorways and is well connected to neighboring capital cities (Zagreb – 4hr drive, Sarajevo – 5hr drive, Skopje – 4hr drive, Ljubljana – 5hr drive, Podgorica – 7hr drive ). Once you arrive in Belgrade, there are various options regarding parking regulations.
The Belgrade city center is divided into three parking zones with time-limited parking. Each zone is visibly marked.
Zone A:
maximum stay of 30 minutes. Price – 100 dinars (0.85 euros) per 30 minutes of parking
Red zone:
maximum stay of 1 hour. Price – 60 dinars (0.50 euros) per commenced hour, extended parking time 30 minutes (100 dinars (0.85 euros))
Yellow Zone:
maximum stay of 2 hours. Price – 53 dinars (0.45 euros) per commenced hour, extended parking time 60 minutes (180 dinars (1.5 euros))
Green Zone:
maximum stay of 3 hours. Price – 45 dinars (0.40 euros) per commenced hour, extended parking time 60 minutes (140 dinars (1.2 euros))
General parking lots outside the zoned areas are without a time limit and the price is 35 dinars (0.30 euros) per commenced hour.
Payment for parking in zone areas and general parking lots outside the zoned areas can be obtained via Parking App (you can download the App via Google Play/App Store), via Mobile Phone (text should contain only registration plate number, no space between the numbers or letters, text message should be sent to the number of parking zone), or via e-Parking Ticket (buying hourly e-Parking ticket at shopping facilities networks and parking controller).
Belgrade has several public garages and car spots. The most notable ones and closest to the conference venue are SC Rajićeva (Uzun Mirkova Street, 2-minute walking distance), Obilićev Venac (Obilićev Venac Street 14-16, 10-minute walking distance), Kalemegdan (Mali Kalemegdan Street, 15-minute walking distance), Karađorđeva parking garage (Vojvode Bojovića Street, 10-minute walking distance).
